Joseph Pignato: Chief Executive Officer
Joe is the CEO of Allied Minds and serves on the Board as an Executive Director. Prior to joining Allied Minds, Joe was the CFO of Swipely, Inc. During his ten years in the venture capital industry, he served as General Partner, COO and CFO of two separate early stage venture firms – Charles River Ventures and Prism Ventures. Early in his career Joe served in various senior financial roles including CFO at Lightbridge, Inc., a publicly traded software company. Joe started his career in public accounting at Deloitte. Joe is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Harry Rein: Non-Executive Chairman
Harry brings extensive experience from the venture capital sector; most recently, he served as General Partner at Foundation Medical Partners, having been instrumental in its formation. Prior to Foundation, Harry served as Founder and Managing Partner at Canaan Partners. Prior to Canaan, Harry was President and CEO of GE Venture Capital Corporation. Harry currently serves on the Board of DeliverCareRX and served on the Board of Anadigics until 2016. He has served on the Board of over 20 public and private entrepreneurial companies, including: Cell Pathways; OraPharma (acquired by Johnson & Johnson); National MD (acquired by GE); OmniSonics; GenVec; CardioNet; and Spine Wave, and was an investor in Praecis Pharmaceuticals.
Bruce Failing – Senior Independent Director
Bruce has over 30 years of management and investment experience in the areas of media and consumer products, applied technology and logistics management. He founded and currently is the General Partner of Alerion Partners and serves on the Boards of Directors of Instadium as the Executive Chairman, Enviroscent and DeliverCareRX. Previously, he was CEO of Productivity Solutions, Electronic Retailing Systems and Actmedia, and Executive Chairman of ScentAir Technologies and Lamaze Publishing & the Newborn Channel. Bruce attended Tufts University (1971) and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School (1973).
Mark Lerdal: Independent Non-Executive Director
Mark has over 35 years of business experience, initially as an attorney but later as an executive and investor. He currently is the Executive Chairman at Leaf Clean Energy and non-executive Chairman at Element Markets. Additionally he serves on three other private company boards and is an adviser to two infrastructure funds. In addition to serving in executive roles at several companies, he has overseen dozens of acquisitions and dispositions during his career. He graduated from Stanford University with an AB in Economics and from Northwestern University School of Law with a jd.
