SiEnergy Systems Adds New Scientist to Commercialize Fuel Cell Technology

Boston, Massachusetts – SiEnergy Systems, LLC is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Masaru Tsuchiya to the position of Principal Scientist. Dr. Tsuchiya was most recently a postdoctoral student at Harvard University, where he also received his doctoral degree in Applied Physics/Materials Science. Dr. Tsuchiya’s research experience has been in the areas of structure-property relations in nanoscale thin films for solid oxide fuel cells, oxygen transport at material interfaces, and oxygen diffusion in silicon. Dr. Tsuchiya is a recipient of the Graduate Student Silver Award from the Materials Research Society. He has been founder, president, and secretary of the Science and Technology Leadership Association (STeLA) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

As Principal Scientist at SiEnergy Systems, Dr. Tsuchiya will plan and direct research and development activities that build on the company’s achievement of highest power density micro solid oxide fuel cells. His work will be aimed at scaling up the technology to wafers and stacks to demonstrate fuel cell capabilities for commercial applications.
