RF Biocidics Names New Vice President & General Manager

Vacaville, CA – RF Biocidics announced today that Fortunato Villamagna, Ph.D. has joined the company as Vice President and General Manager.  Dr. Villamagna brings more than 25 years of experience in the development and commercialization of engineered systems, energetic and highly reactive materials, disinfection systems and chemicals spanning a broad range of industrial applications.

“Fortunato brings the right set of skills to drive the next level of growth for RF Biocidics,” noted Marc Eichenberger, COO of Allied Minds, the parent company of RF Biocidics.  “Fortunato’s experience leading the commercialization of RF, plasma, microwave and chemical disinfection systems, customer focus, and strong technical background will be instrumental in further building the company.”

Prior to RF Biocidics, Dr. Villamagna served as CEO of UTEC, Inc., a company focused on the commercialization of novel hazardous chemical and biological waste destruction processes and equipment.  Previously, Dr. Villamagna was President of BioEnergy Systems LLC, a privately held company that developed advanced technology for the biodiesel and renewable fuels industries.  Earlier, Dr. Villamagna held the role of Vice President of Business Development for American Pacific Corporation (NASDAQ: APFC).  He also previously served as Vice President of Technology, Americas and Europe for Orica, (ORI:ASX) an Australian mining company.  Dr. Villamagna is multi-lingual and holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry.
