Cephalogics Announces Launch Order for Its Neuroimaging System
07-Jul-2009
Boston, Massachusetts - Cephalogics LLC announced today the company’s first sale of its high-density, diffuse optical imaging system to a leading US university. The principal investigator (PI) is an expert in tissue optics and optical medical imaging, and has used these techniques to study functional brain activities, as well as for tumor diagnosis and prognosis under a variety of treatments. “Although the PI already has multiple neuroimaging machines, we are confident that our system will produce a high level of data quality unseen in other optical imaging systems,” said Marc Eichenberger, Chief Operating Officer of Allied Minds, parent of Cephalogics.
Cephalogics makes non-invasive, portable optical brain imaging systems that produce a more complete picture of brain function in real-time to guide treatment of neurological diseases. Among other features, this first order will include 24 source-detector pairs, real-time decoding on data collection, an optimized fiber bundle and a control PC.
