Allied Minds Overview
Allied Minds is a US private equity corporation capitalized and owned by international investors. It has offices in London, England, and Boston, MA. It is not a manager of funds, and it earns its return on its ability to select and support worthwhile investments, not on its ability to attract capital and retain a percentage. The company invests in early stage opportunities based upon university research derived intellectual property (IP).
A set of university relationships forms the channel for Allied Minds investments. These relationships build upon an agreed mutuality of interest and are reinforced over time via performance. All investment opportunities with a university IP component coordinate through the tech transfer teams at the universities.
