RF Biocidics is developing and commercializing technology that helps disinfect and disinfest pests and pathogens from agricultural food and non-food commodities, both on the surface and interior without chemical pesticides or dangerous radiation.

This novel disinfectant and disinfectant technology has a broad range of potential applications, including food safety, agriculture, shipping, residential, and water treatment. Developed at the UC Davis by principal investigator Dr. Manuel Lagunas-Solar, RF Biocidics takes work that Dr. Lagunas-Solar has developed over the last decade and utilizes RF waves to deliver the necessary stress to disinfect and disinfest a wide range of commodities.
