Lifescreen’s technology works non-invasively by analyzing breast fluid for early warning signs of cancer. Ninety-nine percent of breast cancers form in the cells lining the milk ducts. Those cells contain two related carbohydrates which are detectable when cancer is present, but rarelywhen it is not. Our method examines the fluid to detect these carbohydrates. Findings suggest that our technology may prove to be more accurate than current breast cancer detection methods.
