OverviewTufts University and Allied Minds have teamed to establish BA Logix, Inc. to commercialize its Boolean acceleration technology for increasing the speed and quality of computationally intensive digital processes. The technology was developed from the research of Tufts University professor Karen Panetta and University of Texas professor Sos Agaian. Their research into partial derivatives of Boolean functions has resulted in a methodology that can be applied to a wide range of digital processes.Dr. Karen Panetta specializes in image processing, digital simulation and multimedia computer architecture. Dr. Sos Agaian’s research has been devoted to signal/image processing with application to multimedia security, information assurance, and genomic signal processing. New Product Launched – EdgeMax™BA Logix has recently launched a new product, EdgeMax™, that represents the company’s first application of Boolean acceleration to the problem of edge detection in image processing. The algorithm is poised to become the new standard in edge detection. Please click here to view the product description, and click here to see the related press release.
